Yield Improvement
Teknek is the market leader in the provision of yield improvement equipment and consumables for industrial processes which use sheeted or continous roll material. We are the single largest supplier of this type of equipment globally and the only one to design and manufacture its products.

Windshields and Bullet Resistant Glass
Rejects are caused by inclusions in the screen print process and inclusions at the lamination process.
Use the XCHP just before screen printing on the glass.
Extruded films
Rejects are caused when the extruder becomes blocked and creates a line
in the coating. It then has to be 'bumped' to clear the debris. Using a
XCHP to clean the film before the extruder will prevent the debris
getting into the extruder head.

Battery manufacture
Rejects are caused when the calendaring rollers, that are used to
create a level surface, get contaminated and then start to make an
impression in the material. This is a repeating fault and the line must
be stopped to clean the rollers. Contamination on the anode, cathode or separator layers should also be removed before assembly. Installing a CH2, NWP or XCH 390 onto the
line will improve the yields.
CH2 Your Industry
Decorative Laminate
Rejects are caused when a particle is trapped between the steel mould
plate and the printed Melamine top layer. When the heat and pressure of
the press is applied the dust leaves a indentation on the finished laminate
surface. Use of a multi stage XCHP to clean the mould before the lay up
improves the yield. When the finished material is transported it can be
scratched if there are particles between sheets.
Holograms
Rejects occur when a particle gets trapped between the lacquer coated
film and the embossing roller with the hologram shim fitted to it. When
this happens the shim will be damaged due to the pressure and will need
to be replaced. Cleaning with the XCHP range of machines, will increase
the life of the shim.
Medical and Pharmaceutical Products
Rejects are caused by visible particles being trapped in the package.
The product may go through terminal sterilisation however no one wants
a hair in the package. Installation of the NWP onto the packing machine
will prevent this happening. Suitable for use on Flow wrappers,
Horizontal form fill and seal machines and vertical form fill and seal
systems. Seal integrity for blister packaging is also important. Teknek
make special machines to clean the base film and the lidding stock in
these high temperature applications. Full validation and wipe down
design is available.
Packaging Machines
OEM's of packaging machines can offer a bespoke designed piece of
equipment to suit their own design of machine. This allow them to offer
the full solution to the end user.
Print Machines
Downtime on a press is one of the biggest concerns to a printer. Using a NWP or
XCHP machine to clean the web maintains the throughput of the press,
therefore maximising it's efficiency. This applies to flexo, offset,
screen, and roto gravure printing.
NWP Your Industry
Photographic Film
In the production of photographic film there are particular processes
that take place inside dark rooms. Teknek have built systems to operate
in this environment without setting off the films. This can be the
sprocketing of the film, or simply the packaging of the final product.
Hard Coat Sheets
In wide screen displays a polycarbonate sheet with a hard coat is
placed at the front of the assembly to protect it. This sheet must be
very clean. The sheet is cleaned using a vertical cleaner before the
coating process to ensure clear coverage.
Bag Making Machines
Many products in the electronic industry, the food industry and the
medical industry must be supplied in clean bags. Incorporating a Teknek
system at the assembly of the bag will make sure that the inside of the
bag is cleaned before it is sealed. The web is cleaned using a XCH 390
before it is folded over.
Inmould Decoration
Injection moulding now uses a technique where the label or finish is
applied at the same time as the component is injection moulded. (For
example a telephone handset) The decoration is carried on a pre painted
polyester web that passes through the tool. Using a specially designed
cleaner it is possible to clean this film immediately before it is
used.
