SMT 2009 - surface mount clean machine

The SMT 2009 PCB cleaner utilises tacky rolls to remove surface contamination from a panel prior to the printing of solder paste for critical Surface Mount Assembly. Teknek's latest innovation in tacky rolls is Nanocleen technology which has unique cleaning and antistatic properties. Integrating the SMT2009 PCB cleaner with static elimination in your process line is proven to dramatically reduce defect parts per million (DPPM) and increase production yields.

This inline PCB cleaner has been designed to fully integrate into today's SMT production lines, and comes with static monitoring as an option. The SMT is recognised worldwide as a leader in cleaning performance and ROI

key Features

  • Machine has small profile 240mm wide.
  • Easy integration into the line.
  • Full SMEMA.
  • Touch screen operator interface.
  • Single or double sided cleaning.
  • Programmable board settings.
  • Fixed conveyor datum, front or back.
  • Standard SMT board conveyor system.
  • Side access to Blue Cleaning Rollers and Adhesive Rolls.
  • Teknek Pre - Sheeted Adhesive Rolls.
  • Internal anti-static system.

Access to the Teknek Cleaning Core " TCC "

Slide accessThe operator has full access to both the Elastomer Cleaning Rollers and the Teknek  Pre-Sheeted Adhesive Roll. This Feature ensures the Surface Mount Clean Machine can be fully integrated into the line.

Internal Conveyor system

Internal ConveyorThe internal conveyor system supports the edges of the board throughout the cleaning process. This SMT industry standard
method of transporting the board through the machine allows for any width of board to be processed.

Note: Different types of Product Guides are available depending on the material to be processed.

Touch Screen interface

Touch ScreenThis new easy to use, multilingual touch screen panel is the interface between the operator and machine. The customer
has the ability to save different programmes for a variety of boards, this feature speeds up the change-over period, reducing down time.

BOARD SUPPORT SYSTEM

Board Support SystemThis new feature is a unique, fully adjustable support system ensuring the boards being processed are held in contact with
the top cleaning module regardless of width and / or thickness.

ANTI STATIC MONITORING

Anti Static MonitoringThis optional feature can be set to stop the machine and alarm if the static charge on the surface of the exiting board
is above the customers’ set limits. These limits can be adjusted and stored within the machine software and displayed on
the touch screen.
Note: This system is only a guide to the general levels of static on the surface of the material.

Alarm Beacon

Alarm Beacon SystemThe staged Alarm Beacon ensures at all times that the operator is aware of the running condition of the machine.
It is also available as an extended version, raising the light tower some 800mm above the top surface of the machine.
A built in volume control allows the customer to set it to the required noise level.

Key benefits

  • Proven DPPM improvement.

Contamination related defects

Key sources of contamination within the production environment include:

  1. Human hair - a person loses, on average, 50 hairs per day.
  2. Clothing fibres - from operator's clothing are a frequent source of contamination.
  3. Human skin, on average a human discards 1 layer of skin per day.
  4. Printing equipment typically processes material at high speed with hundreds of moving parts which can potentially emit debris and significantly disturbs airborne contamination.
  5. Product contamination - product being printed is typically slit from a master roll which generates huge quantity of material debris.
