What makes a great adhesive roll?
Not all adhesive rolls are manufactured to the same specification. Teknek invented clean machine technology over 20 years ago, so our adhesive range has been developed to fit our machine range. This range has become the industry standard. Although copy brands have been made in similar core diameters, roll widths and roll lengths, that is where th esimilarity ends.
There are several crucial technical areas to look for when selecting an adhesive roll. Teknek have strict quality control measures in place to ensure that each component part of the adhesive roll complies with our strict quality assurances. The main componenets of the finished adhesive roll are:

The Core
Made from high impact polystyrene the core will not bend, ensuring straightness and mechanical rigidity of the roll. This ensures that the adhesive roll makes full contact with the cleaning roller to pick up and trap all the contamination.

The Base (Paper or Film)
The thickness and density of the paper or film is sepcified to ensure wind quality remains constant. The paper is moisture stabilised so that the adhesive product performs perfectly after storage of up to 12 months. This ensures the paper does not tear or crease which would affect the cleaning efficiency.

Release Coating
The paper base release coating is designed to ensure that the roll is not too difficult to unwind. If the release coating is too weak the paper unwraps itself, if the release is too strong the adhesive roll cannot be unwound. This release liner never leaves the paper and no cross contamination can take place. Pre -sheeted adhesive rolls also have a perfectly consiste.

Wind Quality
Any unevenness in the wind of the roll can stop full contact with the rubber rollers so contamination remains on the cleaning roller. The wind quality on Teknek adhesive rolls is guaranteed to ensure contact at all times with the cleaning roller. Each layer of a pre-sheeted adhesive roll is individually wound onto the core and can therefore sustain a much tighter wind quality than perforated rolls.

Packaging
Each standard 3" internal diameter roll is protected by film, wrapped individually in a cardboard tube and shrink wrapped in a pack of 4 rolls, providing tamper proof protection. This ensures that all adhesive rolls reach the end user in perfect conditionand ready for use right away. Indentification
Teknek adhesive rolls are printed with the Teknek logo. If the Teknek logo is there, Teknek quality is guaranteed. A batch number label is also on each roll to ensure Teknek can trace each roll and its day of production.
