overview
This refers to the on-line cleaning of any material that is being processed on a continous roll (the web). The web is cleaned and de-staticised during the contamination sensitive operation to greatly increase productivity and quality. Examples of application processes where web cleaning is critical are slitting, printing, coating, laminating, embossing and sheeting (commonly referred to as 'Converting').
