Design Engineer

Teknek is the global leader in the provision of yield improvement solutions for advanced manufacturing companies. Teknek invented the contact cleaning concept some 25 years ago and its technology is used in a range of industries from PCB production to flat panel manufacture, medical products to printing and packaging. We have sales offices around the globe at three key centres, Yokohama for Asia Pacific, Charlotte, North Carolina for USA and the Americas and Glasgow (Inchinnan) for Europe and where our HQ is based.
We are looking for a Design Engineer based at Inchinnan reporting to the Senior Design Engineer whose main responsibilities will include:-
Costing and feasibility studies to internal sales with fully costed final quotations for standard and custom designed machines.
Provide assistance to sales on the correct selection of standard and custom designed cleaning solutions.
Creation and control of all relevant literature to aid Sales in the correct selection of standard and custom designed machines.
Design of customer specific machine layouts, we build to order.
Design of custom machines from concept through to manufacture, generating Bills of Material and all product documentation as required.
The successful person will have:-
Excellent communication skills to contact the worldwide network of sales and customer contacts. We are looking for a self starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
Proven experience in an engineering background with minimum of a Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Product Design. Knowledge of CAD; ProEngineer or similar, 3D CAD essential.
