Design Engineer
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Design Engineer, the role will involve the design of new, or redesign of existing machines, to produce customer specific variants of our existing range of products. You will follow the project through the initial phases from specification to completion of manufacture.
You can demonstrate an ability in the use of 3D cad tools such as Pro/Engineer or similar and contemporary design support tools such as Excel, Adobe Acrobat and similar. Working knowledge of sheetmetal design, pneumatics and drive train design are required. Excellent project management experience is a must. Knowledge and understanding of Design for Manufacture (DFM) as well as technical and compliance standards are qualities expected within the role.
- Maintenance and improvement of the RFQ (Request for Quotation) system.
- Creation of machine selection documentation to aid Sales personnel.
- Preparation of custom machine layout solutions.
Knowledge
2-3 years work experience in a Mechanical environment
Skills required AutoCAD, Pro Engineer or similar, 3D Cad an advantage.
Candidates will have a degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering and should possess extensive proven experience in a manufacturing environment.

Technical Service Engineer

Our ideal candidate
Is likely to have a qualification in either mechanical or electrical engineering , or mechatronics.
Has several years experience in a field based service role or factory based maintenance role.
Can demonstrate history of successfully prioritising and managing own work load.
Ideally has experience of working with customers of multiple European nationalities, in location if possible.

Business Excellence Manager

Knowledge of either Automotive Academy or National Manufacturing Skills Academy accreditation
Experience of ISO 900, 1400, 16949 BSI/ISO
Environmental, H & S, Quality Standards, Calibration methodology.

Design Engineer
- To provide costing and feasibility studies to internal sales to facilitate fully costed final quotations for standard and custom designed machines.

PRODUCT MANAGERS (2)
Teknek is looking for additional Product Managers. From its base just outside Glasgow Teknek has for around 20 years led the field in maximising yields in critical production processes with its pioneering contact cleaning technology. With design and manufacturing in Scotland it exports over 90% of its output with Asia being the biggest sector.
The next phase of its ambitious plans will see further development in both existing and new markets, to help bring this about Teknek is seeking two Product Managers. These challenging roles have to balance strong commercial and marketing skills with detailed product and application knowledge so as to drive clear product and market strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates have to be able to demonstrate clear and proven skills in developing capital equipment sales in global markets. Either from a technical background with well developed commercial skills or a consummate marketer who can operate in technical markets these roles require exceptional individuals.

Buyer
We have a vacancy for a buyer reporting to our Supply Chain Development Manager at our headquarters at Inchinnan.
Key tasks include the day to day management of supply of production materials, expediting of priority materials.
The aim is to develop and deliver a collaborative supplier base, working with suppliers to extend lean methods through the supply chain.
The objectives are to monitor and improve supplier performance and eliminate waste from the supply chain.
Your responsibility is within supply chain KPI's, capable of sourcing new suppliers and developing existing ones.
The challenges are balancing Low Volume/ High Mix manufacturing requiring flexible supply chains.
An ability to work under pressure and to tight and demanding deadlines within and environment of continual change is essential.

Negotiating and expediting skills concentrating on Supplier performance (QCD), Standard cost variation.
