Design Engineer
- To provide costing and feasibility studies to internal sales to facilitate fully costed final quotations for standard and custom designed machines.
- To participate in the creation of customer specific custom machine layouts.
- To provide assistance to sales on the correct selection of standard and custom designed cleaning solutions.
- Creation and control of all relevant literature to aid Sales in the correct selection of standard and custom designed machines.
- Maintenance and improvement of the RFQ (Request for Quotation) system.
- Creation of machine selection documentation to aid Sales personnel.
- Preparation of custom machine layout solutions.
- 2-3 years work experience in a Mechanical environment.
Qualifications
- Engineering background (Mechanical) to HND level minimum.
- Desirable to have CAD skills in AutoCAD or similar, 3D Cad an advantage.
- Self starter with the ability to work unsupervised.
- Excellent communicator.
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Must have excellent communications skills to communicate with a worldwide network of sales and customer contacts.

PRODUCT MANAGERS (2)
Teknek is looking for additional Product Managers. From its base just outside Glasgow Teknek has for around 20 years led the field in maximising yields in critical production processes with its pioneering contact cleaning technology. With design and manufacturing in Scotland it exports over 90% of its output with Asia being the biggest sector.
The next phase of its ambitious plans will see further development in both existing and new markets, to help bring this about Teknek is seeking two Product Managers. These challenging roles have to balance strong commercial and marketing skills with detailed product and application knowledge so as to drive clear product and market strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates have to be able to demonstrate clear and proven skills in developing capital equipment sales in global markets. Either from a technical background with well developed commercial skills or a consummate marketer who can operate in technical markets these roles require exceptional individuals.
Ideal candidates are likely to have a good honours degree, and have shown considerable development in their career. Candidates most likely to succeed are those that are able to operate largely autonomously, be able to thrive in a fast moving global technical arena, and respond well to a demanding performance culture. MECHANICAL DRAUGHTSMAN
Applications are invited from candidates to join our Engineering Department to assist in the design of our specialist cleaning machines. Ideal candidates must be able to demonstrate proven track record in the draughting of light mechanical machinery.
The ideal candidate will posses a minimum of 3 years draughting experience and will be educated to ONC/HNC level. Experience with a 3-D Designing software is preferred. You will work as part of a larger team producing drawings for a range of mechanical components and assemblies.
Main Specification includes:
To provide superior quality engineering draughting skills.
The individual must produce mechanical drawings and associated bills of materials.
Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and associated general arrangement drawings which are clear and accurate.
Ensure that standard practices and details are utilised wherever possible.
Job Specification:
- Ensure compliance with Drawing Office drawing control procedures.
- Liaise with Project Teams and Engineers
- Check all drawings produced to ensure accuracy and suitability for purpose.
- Be available to check drawings, produced by other team members for accuracy and suitability for purpose.
- Identify any key draughting issues or problems.
- Assist Engineers by providing any relevant experience or information you may have access to.
- Perform other related duties and assignments as requested by the Design Manager

MECHANICAL TEST ENGINEER
Having skills to provide root-cause analysis of product and process failures is a must.
You can demonstrate an ability to evaluate requirements for testing a wide range of mechanical components and assemblies, fault find, define test criteria, test procedures, design test rigs as required using CAD tools such as ProEngineer or similar and introduce corrective actions as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Reporting to the Engineering Manager candidates must be qualified to HND/Degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
